As team captain of Corpus Christi High’s varsity volleyball team, Caleb Johnson is the epitome of a leader. Known for his powerful spikes and unshakeable composure, Caleb has guided his team to a record-breaking season, including an appearance in the state playoffs.
“Leadership isn’t just about playing well; it’s about lifting your teammates up,” Caleb explains. He takes this philosophy to heart, often staying after practice to help younger players improve their skills. His coach praises him as “the glue that holds the team together.”
Off the court, Caleb maintains a 4.0 GPA and participates in student government. He’s also passionate about community service, regularly volunteering at local food drives and fundraising events. “Giving back to my community is just as important as winning games,” he says.
With dreams of playing collegiate volleyball and studying sports psychology, Caleb hopes to continue inspiring others through his dedication and positivity.
